The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a five-day training on financial literacy for rice farmer clusters (training on rice-based enterprise 4) under the National Rice Program, held at Cornerstone Training and Learning Center Corporation, Maria Aurora, Aurora, on October 8, 2024.

A total of twenty-five (25) farmers and two (2) agricultural extension workers (AEWs) from Maria Aurora and San Luis, Aurora, participated in the said training which aims to equip the rice cluster with the necessary skills in accessing loans, managing finances, and developing enterprises. By enhancing their capabilities, this course ensures that the funds obtained by farmers serve their intended purpose for agricultural productivity.

The program started with an acknowledgment of guests and participants by Mr. Benigno V. Soriano Jr., ATI-CL Administrative Support Staff, and a welcome message from Ms. Estrella C. Buenaventura, owner of Cornerstone Training and Learning Center Corporation.

Additionally, Mr. Wilson N. Candelario, Municipal Agriculturist of Maria Aurora, and Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, Center Director, ATI-RTC III, extended their warm welcome and message to the participants.

Furthermore, Mr. Soriano, Mr. Rodolfo C. Padua Jr., and Engr. Omie A. Carbonel from ATI-CL served as resource persons for the said training.

At the end of the training, the participants were able to prepare a Simple Enterprise Plan on how they would apply the skills and knowledge they gained.
