The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a three-day training on fattening production and biosecurity measures for INSPIRE beneficiaries held at ATI-RTC III, San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan, from October 15-17, 2024.
A total of 27 farmer beneficiaries from Central Luzon attended the training that aimed to equip them with practical information and skills pertaining to raising livestock for fattening and biosecurity operations. The participants hope that this program will give them useful information on improving the practice of agriculture and result in sustainable farming operations.
The program involved informative lectures presented by industry experts, interactive farm visits, and hands-on activities that would give them the opportunity to put newly acquired knowledge into action.
Furthermore, Dr. Franklin Barnachea from President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) and Mr. Jayson B. Nidua, Development Management Officer of ATI-CL, served as resource persons.
During the closing ceremony, participants expressed their gratitude, highlighting the valuable insights gained, particularly in biosecurity, which they plan to implement in their projects.
Moreover, the training concluded by having participants submit their re-entry plans. The plan is to assist them in applying what they have learned within their cooperatives and associations so that the benefits of the training are extended beyond the event itself, hence contributing to agriculture advancement in the region.
