The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), together with Smart Communications Inc., turned over the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) Farm Tech Package to New Gen Agri Farm, a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) in Lubao, Pampanga, on November 7, 2024.

The DFP Farm Tech Package aims to integrate digital technology and resources into the agricultural practices of local farmers, enhancing their productivity and access to modern farming tools. This initiative is part of a broader effort to introduce innovative technologies to the agricultural sector, helping farmers improve their practices and livelihoods.

Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, ATI-CL Center Director, encouraged the LSA to promote activities in the advancement of agriculture. He shared the different programs of ATI-CL and thanked New Gen Agri Farm, the Local Government Unit of Lubao, and Smart Communications Inc. in the continued partnership and support to the farmers in the community.

Ms. Lhai Tulabut, Municipal Agriculturist, Lubao, Pampanga, acknowledged the support of ATI-CLand Smart Communications to the farming sector of the municipality. "This will be a big help to the farmers since agriculture is now in line with the digital world," she quipped.

Ms. Kristine Joyce Magadia, Stakeholder Management Lead for Livelihood of Smart Communications Inc., thank everyone for the partnership. "We have partnered with the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute to enhance the reach of learning and technology to farmers in their areas," she quipped.

Moreover, the event also witnessed the memorandum of agreement signing between ATI Central Luzon and New Gen Agri Farm in the future implementation of DFP and Digital Agriculture Course.
