The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted the orientation and signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for interns and farm partners participating in the Young Corn Partners Internship Program held at the ATI-RTC III in Dinalupihan, Bataan, on November 7, 2024.

The event was led by Ms. Reinalyn C. Gulen, OIC-Chief PASS/Corn Focal Coordinator, who presented the program’s objectives, technical details, and the roles and responsibilities of the interns, farm partners, and ATI-CL.

Ms. Rovick Ann P. Mendoza and Mr. Mark Genesis M. Umipig, from San Marcelino, Zambales, and Mr. Angelito R. Peralta, a farm partner from Suaverdez, Anao, Tarlac, were present during the activity.

Furthermore, the Corn Internship Program aims to boost the production of quality corn for human consumption, feeds, and industrial uses while empowering farmers and improving their livelihoods. It also offers youth participants the opportunity to gain practical skills in corn-based agri-entrepreneurship.

Additionally, farm partners will mentor the interns’ different activities within the corn value chain, including production, processing, and marketing.

Lastly, the MOA signing was witnessed by Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, Center Director of ATI-CL, Ms. Gulen, Mr. Jayson B. Nidua, Mr. Benigno V. Soriano Jr., Mr. Rodolfo C. Padua Jr. from ATI-CL, and Mr. Bernard Joseph G. Biag from the LGU-Anao, Tarlac.
