To harmonize the implementation of Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) organized a Specialized Inter-Agency Consultation Meeting, held at the Philippine-Sino Center for Agricultural Technology (PhilSCAT), Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, on November 8, 2024.
The activity was attended by RCEF-RESP Implementing Agencies in the region including DA-Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), DA-Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Ms. Reinalyn C. Gulen, OIC-Chief of Partnership and Accreditation Section/ RCEF Focal Person, welcomed the participants.
Dir. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr., Regional Director of DA-RFO III, also gave a message of support to the activity through a video message.
Additionally, Mr. John Patrick S. Gutierez, Technical Support Staff IV of ATI-CL, discussed the overview of the activity.
As part of the activity, the RCEF implementing agencies including ATI-CL presented their accomplishments for the FY 2019-2024, issues and concerns in implementing the program, possible convergence with their activities lined-up for the next phase of RCEF, and ways forward.
After the presentation, an open forum ensued where suggestions and inputs for the possible partnerships within the agencies were tackled and the group formed agreements.
Before closing the program, Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, the Center Director of ATI-CL, gave a message of support which he also highlighted the agreements formed by the agencies.
Further, Dir. Baron Lagran, Regional Director of TESDA, delivered the closing remarks and expressed his support to the activity through a video message.
