The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Office of Senator Grace Poe, concluded the Binhi Ng Pag-asa Provincial Summit held at the Farmer’s Training Center, Tarlac Agricultural University from November 7-8, 2024.

The activity aimed to highlight the talents and skills of the participants in different agriculture and agripreneurship-related contests, as well as nurture a deeper appreciation for agriculture.

The summit was attended by 2024 Tarlac BPP graduates from differentΒ  municipalities, along with guests and judges from several agencies, including the Office of Provincial Agriculturists (OPA) – Tarlac, Office of Senator Grace Poe (OSGP), Agricultural Training Institute – Central Office (ATI-CO), Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III), Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), and the Municipality of Concepcion.

The event began with a warm welcome from Ms. Elsa F. Victoria, Training Specialist III, and Chief of CDMS at ATI Central Luzon, followed by messages of support from Ms. Michell Baino, Agriculturist II from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist of Tarlac; Ms. Leaross Valerio, Senior Political Officer from the Office of Senator Grace Poe; Ms. Alliah Lyn Ditche, National Project Monitoring Officer from ATI Central Office; Dr. Sonny D. Torres, VP for Academic and Student Affairs from Tarlac Agricultural University; and Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, Center Director of ATI Central Luzon.

Furthermore, Ms. Charlene Gonzales, BPP Project Officer, provided an overview of the activities.

The event featured participants from different municipalities in Tarlac who showcased their knowledge and skills in the following competitions: Agri-Innovation: BPP Project Pitching with six (6) entries, AgriLegislative: A Policy Making Competition with eleven (11) entries, and Kwento ng Pag-asa: Municipal Video Competition with six (6) entries.

After a thorough deliberation of the entries, the following municipalities were declared the winners:

Agri-Innovation: BPP Project Pitching

  • 1st Place – Municipality of Gerona
  • 1st Place – Municipality of Camiling
  • 2nd Place – Municipality of La Paz
  • 3rd Place – Municipality of Moncada

AgriLegislative: A Policy Making Competition

  • 1st Place – Municipality of San Jose
  • 2nd Place – Municipality of Anao
  • 3rd Place – National TOT Graduates of Tarlac
  • 4th Place – Municipality of Moncada

Kwento ng Pag-asa: Municipal Video Competition

  • 1st Place – Municipality of Moncada
  • 2nd Place – Municipality of San Jose
  • 3rd Place – Municipality of San Clemente

Moreover, 1st place winners from these categories will represent Region III and the Province of Tarlac in the National Level competition, which will be held from November 26-29 in Binondo, Manila.
