Committed to creating a safe and gender-responsive workspace that upholds employee well-being, the DA-Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON facilitated the WE for Wellness: Fostering a Nurturing Institution through a Self-Care Session on March 24, 2026, as part of the National Women's Month Celebration (NWMC).

In collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Cavite Provincial Office and its accredited training school, the City College of Imus (CCI), the DA-ATI CALABARZON staff spent a wellness day with free haircut, manicure, and massage therapy services brought by the aforesaid partners.

CCI trainer Ms. Lea Robles also shared insights on factors affecting health and wellness, as well as simple relaxation and self-care techniques that can help prevent burnout, improve concentration, and emotional balance.

“Tayo pong nasa government ang work, madalas hindi pa po natin napa-prioritize ang ating wellness. Kaya sobrang na-appreciate po namin na maka-avail ng ganitong services, at for free pa po. Dahil din po dito, nakikita po namin na pinahahalagahan po kami bilang mga kawani,” said Ms. Mary Grace Leidia from Partnerships and Accreditation Section (PAS).

In her message, Asst. Center Dir. Sherylou Alfaro underscored that, as extension workers who look after the welfare of stakeholders, self-care and wellness are of prime importance in order to deliver excellent services.

The program underscores the 2023–2028 NWMC recurring theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” at the organizational level, highlighting that employee wellness is an integral part of a productive, inclusive, and gender-responsive workplace.
