Urban ATIn' To Technology Demonstration Site

The Agricultural Training Institute- CALABARZON supports the Department of Agriculture’s initiatives through excellent extension services. Our demonstration farm in the Center showcases various urban agriculture technologies dubbed as "Paligsakahan” in 2014. The term was coined from paligsahan and sakahan. Paligsakahan is a competitive activity among ATI CALABARZON staff to showcase farming practices in an urban setting.

In 2021, the Center upgraded the garden dubbed as UrbaNatinTo in order to showcase latest UA and organic agriculture technologies and to enhance knowledge of urban dwellers/agricultural enthusiasts who visited the center following ATI’s mandate as capacity builder, knowledge bank and catalyst of the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries extension system. Each portion of the garden is being managed by different sections of ATI-CALABARZON. Furthermore, the center won the 2021 Best Center-based Urban Agriculture Garden.

Container garden, raised-bed garden, vertical garden, aquaponics, hydroponics, tower garden, hanging garden, mini-rice terraces, drip irrigation technology, greenhouse and square foot garden are some of the technologies showcased in the said garden.
