To equip differently-abled persons with fundamental knowledge and skills in free-range chicken production technology, the Training on Free-Range Chicken Production and Enterprise Development was successfully held at Dream Paradise, Brgy. Pula, Romblon, Romblon on April 22-24, 2025.

The three-day training engaged participants in various lectures and discussions covering the fundamentals of free-range chicken raising. Ms. Neri Fontanilla, Farm Manager of Agrigold Farm Learning Center, Inc., served as the resource speaker and facilitated discussions on the different chicken breeds suitable for free-range production, housing styles and brooding facilities, feed formulation, nutritional requirements, and common poultry pests and diseases.

Through hands-on activities, the participants also learned how to produce natural and low-cost feeds for chickens. Then, Mr. Mark Joseph Buñag taught them about various topics related to gender and development.

Apart from the lectures, the municipality of Romblon also supported the activity by providing funding for the procurement of stocks to establish technology demonstrations on free-range chicken raising for the participants.

Pula, Romblon, Romblon.

A total of 30 participants, including 28 differently-abled persons and two agricultural extension workers, attended the training.
