The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA through its Information Services Section (ISS), successfully launched the School-on-the-Air (SOA) on Cassava Production “Cassava’y sa Pag-asenso” on April 29, 2025 at the Roxas Gymnasium, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.
On behalf of ATI-MIMAROPA Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos, Assistant Center Director Norberto C. Maur graced the event and delivered an inspiring message. He emphasized that cassava is important not only as food but also as a key component in feed production.
“Strive to learn all the lessons offered in this program, take them to heart, and apply them to help improve the productivity and income of our farmers here in Oriental Mindoro,” he said.
To show their support, municipal agriculturists and coordinators from the participating municipalities, namely, Pinamalayan, Bansud, Gloria, Bongabong, Roxas and Manaslay, along with representatives from partner radio stations were present at the event.
Highlights of the activity included a discussion led by Mr. Erlan D. Pasana, ISS OIC-Chief, on the mechanics and modules of the SOA, followed by the signing of a pledge of commitment by the program implementers.
