IEC materials and other Techno Gabay Program services are now available in Brgy. Pangulo and Balogo in Calatrava, Romblon, as well as in Gabutero Organic Farm in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro. They have been officially launched as the 4th and 5th Brgy. Farmers and Information Technology Services (FITS) Kiosks in Calatrava, and the 1st Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) FITS Kiosk in Bongabong on May 19, 2023 and May 25, 2023, respectively.
Hon. Roberto M. Fesalbon, Brgy. Chairman of Pangulo, Hon. Juliet M. Sixon, Brgy. Chairman of Balogo, and Mr. Nelson B. Gabutero, LSA cooperator and owner of GOF, graced the activity. They expressed their gratitude to the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) for providing this kind of project and for choosing their barangay and farm as ATI's partner in offering fast access to agricultural information and farming technologies through the establishment of the FITS Kiosk.
The highlight of the activity was the awarding of office equipment and materials to the newly established Brgy. FITS Kiosks and a check worth Php 50,000 to LSA FITS Kiosk. Moreover, they were provided with assorted Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials for display and distribution to the beneficiaries.
The activity was facilitated by the Information Services Section of the ATI-MIMAROPA.
