The TOT aimed to equip agricultural extension workers and farmer leaders with essential digital skills, including the use of smartphones and social media, navigating e-commerce and online payment services, and utilizing agri-apps.

During the practical exercises, the 34 participants learned about smartphone parts and their uses, internet access, internet safety, basic social media marketing, and basic agri-apps on the first day of the training.

On the second day, they explored advanced agri-apps, including Plant Doctor, SpidTech, LCC, and RCM. They were also educated on advanced social media marketing strategies using Canva and social media marketing plans, as well as e-commerce platforms such as Facebook Page, Lazada, Shopee, and e-Kadiwa. Moreover, they were introduced to Maya for online financial transactions.

After two days of lectures and workshops, the participants also took part in micro-teaching on the third day, where they discussed their assigned topics. During this activity, they demonstrated their ability to serve as resource persons and assist ATI with the rollout of DFP activities in their localities.

During the culminating activity, participants who excelled in the training, particularly in the hands-on activities were recognized.

The TOT was facilitated by the Information Services Section (ISS), which also served as the resource persons for the training.
