Mr. Nemesio Evangelista, one of the participants from Naujan, shared this during the Rice Crop Manager Advisory Service (RCMAS) Briefing Batch II conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in MIMAROPA on May 15, 2026, at ATI-MIMAROPA in Barcenaga, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Mr. Evangelista was one of 46 rice farmers who received personalized one-page RCMAS recommendations through farmer interviews facilitated by ATI-MIMAROPA’s Information Services Section.
The RCMAS recommendations provided advice on proper nutrient management, fertilizer application timing, and other improved farming practices to help increase yield and improve production efficiency.
“Ngayon ko lang po narinig ang tungkol sa RCMAS, kaya naman po malaking tulong na naka-attend kami rito,” he said.
After the printed recommendation was explained to him, Mr. Evangelista said he would carefully study the guide and apply it in his rice field to evaluate its effectiveness.
ATI-MIMAROPA Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos supported the briefing through a pre-recorded message, encouraging participants to engage in the activity, apply what they learned on their farms, and share their knowledge to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability in their communities.
In partnership with the Municipality of Naujan, the initiative emphasized collaboration among local government units, extension workers, and farmers to promote climate-resilient and technology-driven agriculture in the province.
