ATI MIMAROPA in partnership with the DA-Regional Field Office MIMAROPA rolled out the Use of Outcome-based Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Tool in regional level. This aimed to capacitate partners to serve as enumerators in their respective provinces for a seamless rollout of MEL application.
Mr. Norberto C. Maur, OIC-Assistant Center Director graced the opening program. In his message, Mr. Maur emphasized the importance of partnership among DA agencies and LGUs about data gathering and analysis. He said that this will be a crucial element for better planning, specifically for more responsive and reliable farmer-advisory services for our rice farmers.
“Our partnership will not end here, but rather, this is just a beginning as we will have to synchronize and roll out the program and gather data from 200 rice farmers as a result of this training,” Mr. Maur said.
The MEL application served as a digital tool for DA's Rice Program to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the various rice program interventions for farmers.
The initial activity was conducted on May 2-5, 2023, and attended by 20 participants.
