PILI, CAMARINES SUR — The Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center V (ATI Bicol) conducted an Orientation and Pre-Deployment for The Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) on June 17, 2024, at ATI-RTC V, Diversion Road, San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur.
Fifteen (15) YIPOA Interns and seven (7) Farm Partners from the provinces of the Bicol Region attended the above mentioned event. The seven Farm Partners were Baluzo Farm, Bridge Agritourism Park, Doc Beny’s Nature Farm, Longabela’s Kalikasan Farm, Palsas Nature Farm, Marjoe’s Integrated Farm, and Shell Training Farm Bombon. After the orientation, the YIPOA Interns will be deployed to their assigned farm partners.
YIPOA is a highly specialized internship program that aims to capacitate young farmers who will contribute to the attainment of food sovereignty by ensuring the availability of healthy agricultural produce and products grown, raised, and developed in a healthy and safe environment. It is designed to instill and develop an appreciation for organic agriculture among the interns.
