BATAN, Aklan – ATI Region 6 conducts one of the assessments for the establishment of the Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) in Western Visayas at Barangay Lupit, Batan, Aklan. Angel S. Reyes III, the farm owner of Granja La Verde Farm, was oriented on the responsibilities of a Learning Site Cooperator wherein he must be willing to share their technologies right in their farm. His farm will serve as a partner in implementing training and extension interventions for hands-on activity and training. While, he can act and demonstrate as a trainer and resource person for various groups, and are willing to submit a periodic report to ATI Region 6.

The evaluators are from the Partnerships & Accreditation Services Section (PASS) namely: Mavillo Villorente, Section Chief; Lyn G. Bantigue, Agriculturist II; and Emily M. Revesencio, Training Specialist II of Career Development & Management Services Section (CDMSS).

There are 69 recognized LSAs in the Region in the year 2021. As of the 31st of December, fifteen were accredited as Learning Sites with the following breakdown: Province of Antique (1); Province of Capiz (2); Province of Iloilo (3); Province of Aklan (5); and Province of Negros (4).
