BANGA, Aklan - Bimnette Integrated Farm located at Brgy. Tincupon, Panit-an and Agdahon Agriventures Farm situated in Brgy. Agadahon, Cuartero in Capiz were known as new Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) in Western Visayas after the successful conduct of the assessment in the said farms last December 2021.
Dr. Eden DLR. Bautista, Center Director; Mavillo Z. Villorente, Senior Agriculturist; and Lyn G. Bantigue, Agriculturist II awarded the assistance worth Php150,000 to the farm owners, namely: Briddo V. Dorado and Elenita B. Arroyo, at the Center’s Training Hall on February 14, 2022.
Bimnette Integrated Farm has a total land area of 1.2 hectares with one hectare devoted to rice production while Agdahon Agriventures Farm has a total farm area of 1.5 hectares, which produces organically grown rice, herbs, and vegetables. Both farms showcase unique and different varieties of ornamental plants that are marketable in hotels, farm resorts, and other establishments.
