BANGA, Aklan - In its ongoing initiative to cultivate a culture of continuous growth and improvement, the Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 12 (ATI-RTC 12) recently held a significant Learning and Development (L&D) activity at ATI-RTC VI. This initiative brought together 25 personnel from the Partnership and Accreditation Section (PAS), Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU), and Career Development and Management Section (CDMS), to improve their capabilities and better serve the farmers, fisherfolks, and other stakeholders.
A comprehensive tour of the various sections of the center was conducted, fostering an exchange of information and best practices. The aim of the visit was to identify opportunities for improvement, with the goal of enhancing the center’s efficiency and effectiveness in program implementation.
Ms. Mary Ann A. Ramos, Center Director of ATI-RTC VI, warmly welcomed the ATI-RTC 12 personnel. In her message, Director Ramos underscored the critical role that personnel play in achieving the center's goals and objectives. She also took the opportunity to share some of the best practices that contributed to ATI-RTC VI’s success, including its recognition as the "Most Improved Center" among the sixteen training centers within the ATI Network.

The L&D activity included presentations and discussions. Ms. Leizel Margie Lou B. Ocheda, Media Production Specialist II of ATI-RTC VI and IQA Team Leader, shared effective practices employed by the IQA Team. Following this, Ms. Dianne Rivera, Planning Officer II in the PMEU, presented on the PMEU's best practices, focusing on how they make accessing all office documents easier, facilitating submission and the completion of necessary documentation.

As part of their learning experience, the ATI-RTC 12 personnel also visited ATI-RTC VI’s certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSA) in the provinces of Aklan and Iloilo. This visit allowed them to observe firsthand the successful practices implemented in these LSAs, providing them with valuable knowledge that they can potentially introduce to their LSA in Region 12.

This L&D initiative ATI-RTC 12’s strong commitment to investing in its personnel and enhancing the quality of services to its stakeholder and insights gainholders. The knowledge from the L&D activity will contribute significantly in improving the center’s overall performance and effectiveness.
