BANGA, Aklan – In support of the Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion Program (INSPIRE) launched by the Department of Agriculture, ATI Region 6 conducted Training on Swine Production and Management on February 23-24, 2023. Twenty-two participants representing the six implementing associations of the INSPIRE Project participated in the activity.

In her message, ATI National Director Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter urged the beneficiaries to "lead the repopulation of swine and modernize the production system as ASF poses a grave threat in the region." She reminded us to strengthen border controls to mitigate the spread of the virus.

Mary Ann A. Ramos, OIC-ATI Region 6, assured the associations that the institution will always extend technical assistance and capability building to ensure the project's success.

"We thank ATI for entrusting us with the swine multiplier project. We will do our best to help not just ourselves but extend this to the community," Ms. Concepcion Carrillo, President of KCARSI, expressed her appreciation.

KCARSI, IFALGAM, IBON, ASU, NFA, and CALIPMA participated in the two-day activity.

The Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) is a part of the Department of Agriculture's (DA) recovery and repopulation plan for the swine industry.
