To recover from the decline in the Province of Antique's local supplies of high-quality hogs and pork, the SWAIB Project seeks to improve the local swine industry and repopulate the area.

Center Director Mary Ann A. Ramos gave the overview of the SWAIB project and reminded the stakeholders of their roles and responsibilities. "Much is given; much is required. Let us not waste the project aimed at helping the people of Antique," she said.

SILPRA representatives lead the tour of the project's facilities after the inauguration ceremony.

With the help of the provincial government through the Office of Provincial Veterinarians, ATI Region 6 validated possible beneficiaries who are willing and able to carry out the project, which will sustain operations while achieving the target outcome.
