The ATI Region 6 staff are all smiles after engaging with topics on holistic individual and group growth through Gender and Development.

BANGA, Aklan – Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VI Staff celebrated Women’s Month by engaging in Gender and Development and Health and Wellness Training for three days last March 20-22, 2023, at the ATI Training Hall. Twenty-five participants from the different units and sections joined the round table.

The training program, which was broadcasted live on Facebook, aimed to enhance the awareness of the ATI personnel on GAD programs, as well as mental and physical health towards a healthy lifestyle and wellness and good organizational dynamics. During the 3-day course of lectures and workshops, the participants learned updates on GAD Mainstreaming and how to improve their mental and physical health to serve the public better.

“Health is wealth - is an understatement,” emphasized Dr. Mechelle A. Palma, Resource Person. “Once we truly understand the essence of health, we can say that health is not everything, but without health, everything is nothing,” she continued.

“I know everyone here is very thankful because it has been a long time since our health-related training. This training is very beneficial to everyone. We learned about the right type, amount, and frequency of food we have to take to avoid diseases. We also learned about the different types of stress and how we can manage them. Our resource persons highlighted the laws, rules, and regulations protecting women against violence for our benefit,” said Janelyn Retiro, Administrative Staff and one of the participants.

The participants are eager to apply their learnings on GAD and Health and Wellness as reflected in their written Commitment Statements.
