BANGA, Aklan – Twenty-one digital trainers from Western Visayas completed a three-day training of trainers for the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) held at the ATI Training Hall from May 21 to 23, 2025.

The participants, primarily composed of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) who also serve as Farmers' Information and Technology Service (FITS) Center staff in their respective municipalities, engaged in comprehensive lectures and discussions. Topics included the DFP Toolkit, Facilitator's Deck, User's Guide, Smartphone 101, Accessing the Internet, Agricultural Applications, Social Media Marketing, e-commerce Platforms, Digital Transactions, and Internet Safety Basics.

Some participants actively check and visit various agricultural applications during the discussion.

In addition to theoretical sessions, participants took part in practical, hands-on activities, including posting products on Facebook Marketplace, enrolling in and completing an e-learning course, creating online product content using Canva, developing social media marketing content plans, conducting demo back sessions on covered topics, and submitting re-entry plans. They are also required to submit a recorded microteaching session per FITS Center within seven days following the training.
