SIBUNAG, Guimaras – "It has been two weeks since I got my new smartphone. This training is significant for me because I am just starting to learn to use the gadget. This training taught me how to use social media and agri apps and understand rice pests. I am delighted," uttered Rosalinda F. Tabuena, a member of M. Chavez Unified Farmers Association (MUFA) from San Lorenzo, Guimaras, that participated in the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) 101 and 102 Training as the first phase of the DFP Training of Package of Technologies last May 23-26, 2023 at Spring Bloom Agri farm.

The said association will receive a portable package of digital training resources developed to facilitate learning in digital agriculture. The package utilizes mobile technology coupled with the DFP ladderized training modules to enable farmer organizations to roll out the DFP in their respective areas, specifically in remote areas. The second phase of this training is awarding the said package that will follow.

The resource persons discussed DFP Toolkit, DFP Facilitator's Deck, and DFP User's Guide. Furthermore, they underwent hands-on activities, including posting products on Facebook Marketplace, creating online product content via the Canva application, producing social media marketing content plans, and submitting the DFP 101 and 102 rollouts through action planning.

This activity is the first conduct of the said training in the Region.
