SAN JOSE, Antique - As an agricultural country, water plays a massive role in the success of every farmer; likewise, rice is one of the leading products of Filipino farmers; therefore, water-saving technologies are essential, especially during droughts, and to recognize this, a training entitled “Training on Water Saving Technology for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in the Province of Antique” was held last March 19-21, 2025 at Adelaide Tourists and Travelers Inn, in Bantayan Street with 30 participants.

A participant wrote down the process and water-saving techniques.

They, namely agricultural extension workers with a permanent position, at least one year in service, and who have undergone a three-day rice-related training, participated in the activity

During the activity, hands-on exercises showcased the techniques and processes the participants learned during the discussions.

The participants applied their learnings gained from their discussion during their fieldwork.

The Provincial Government of Antique Province Agriculture and Fishery Extension System (APAFES) led the activity to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the AEWs so they can adapt to various innovations.
