BANGA, Aklan - Exhibiting once more the fourfold development for the 4-H youth, the 4-H Regional Youth Camp took off last August 22-24, 2023 at the ATI Training Hall, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan with the theme, “4-H Evolve: Expanding the Value of Leadership and Volunteerism Over 70 Years of 4-H Excellence”.

Over sixty 4-Hers and Rural Based Organization Coordinators from Local Government Units participated in the convention.

Several competitions took place, aimed to showcase the talents and skills of the youth across agriculture and other fields. The competitions include 4-H Himig Handog, an original songwriting contest, 4-H Merchandise, a merchandise design and pitching contest, 4-H Promotional Video, a multimedia promotional pitching contest, and Agri-Innovation Pitching, an agricultural technology pitching showcase.

Further activities include Candle Lighting & Fellowship Night, where the body addressed the organization's efforts amidst changing times and solidifying 4-H Advocacies in Agriculture and Fisheries. The convention also oriented the body on Smart Agriculture Technologies through a plenary session. The participating provinces also exhibited various products produced by their 4-H Members.

The Province of Guimaras emerged as the overall champion of the series of competitions.

The activity encouraged the youth to be participative and committed through various activities. Moreover, the convention provides the opportunity to interact with fellow youth leaders, share knowledge, and best practices.

As frontline implementers, the 4-H Club deems convening annually necessary to foster camaraderie and unity as they serve their communities.
