BANGA, Aklan - ATI Region 6 responded to a community call by participating in the Training on Capacitating Community Tele-Radio Volunteers last November 28-29, 2023, at the ASU Review Center. The Extension and Community Services of the Aklan State University organized the activity.
Members of different sectors like agriculture, religion, health and nutrition, education, and law enforcement also attended the training workshop.
Resource Persons include John Lord Auman, Information Officer II of ATI Region 12, Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member and seasoned broadcaster Hon. Jay Tejada, and renowned radio personality and DYMT Project Leader, Prof. Juvy Casimero.
The participants engaged on topics, Ethical Standards for Broadcast Media, Communication Practices, and their Application to Community Broadcasting, and Radio Performance.
Participating sectors, including ATI Region 6, each developed new programs for the community. Participants also performed inside the DYMT multimedia room as a simulation exercise for actual broadcasts.
The DYMT Community Tele-Radio Programs will be livestreamed via the official Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090784194580. Aklan Cable Television Channel 23 sets to televise regular programming.
Viewers and listeners can look forward to regular programs starting January 2024.
Department of Agriculture Western Visayas catalyzed the upgrading of the DYMT Community Tele-Radio through the Regional Rice Program.
The DYMT Community Tele-Radio launched last September 19, 2023.
