ROXAS CITY, Capiz - To sustain agricultural and economic productivity, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos and the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VI awarded financial assistance to Chandy’s Integrated Farm of Panit-an and DISIRIE Integrated Farm of Panay today, October 6 at the Villareal Stadium. Each Learning Site received Php 150, 000 in cheque.
LS Cooperators Princess Diane Calanza and Disirie Detaro personally accepted the grant.
Present in the ceremony are former Senator Mar Roxas and Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Rex Gatchalian. Capiz and Roxas City Local Chief Executives and officials witnessed the awarding.
In his address, President Marcos tasked the Department of Agriculture and Department of Finance to ensure the efficient and prompt delivery of assistance and benefits for farmers and fisher folks.
The grant will serve as resources for farm enhancement and supplemental upscaling of technologies modeled on-site. Furthermore, it aims to assist LSAs in demonstrating appropriate modern rice farming technologies, practices, and innovations.
LSAs serve as models showcasing best farming practices and sustainable technologies worthy of emulation.
