ATI REGION 6, PARTNER AGENCIES SOLIDIFY COMMITMENT FOR SOA UNDER CFIDP

BANGA, Aklan - ATI Region 6 scaled up its School-on-the-Air programs with the launch of Masaganang Coco-Buhayan: Radyo Eskwela sa Pagniniyugan last July 21, 2023, at the Maria Y. Orosa Hall, 4-H Learning Hub, ATI-RTC, ASU Compound, Banga, Aklan.

Present for the launch were Neil J. Melencion, Regional Manager III of PCA Region VI; DT Joy D. Gener, Station Manager of RMN DYKR Kalibo; Feelmer John Sasis, Acting Senior Agriculturist of PCA Aklan and Antique Satellite Office; Florepe M. Mortalla, OIC Chief - Information Services Section of ATI Region 6; and SOA coordinators and farmers.

During her welcome remarks, Mortalla highlighted the role of the coconut farmers and SOA coordinators, describing them as “unsung heroes'', in this program. She emphasized that the success of the implementation of this program lies in their hands.

Melencion further supported Mortalla's statement and emphasized that the program primarily intends to improve the livelihood of coconut farmers in his Message of Support.

Sasis expressed his congratulations to everyone involved in the launching of the program, as this is the first School-on-the-Air program addressing the coconut industry in Region 6.

In addition, Gener pointed out that this initiative will surely reach both farmers and agriculture enthusiasts since the broadcast will be aired on both RMN DYKR Kalibo and iFM Boracay.

ATI Region 6 and partner implementing agencies marked their adherence to support the program through the Pledge of Commitment. 

The Masaganang Coco-Buhayan: Radyo Eskwela sa Pagniniyugan will air from July 23- October 22, 2023, on ATI’s partner radio stations, RMN-DYKR Kalibo 1161 and iFM Boracay 98.1.
