BANGA, Aklan—ATI Region 6 culminates the Filipino Food Month Celebration with Training on Food Processing and an FFM Cook-off this April 29-30, 2024, at the ATI Training Hall. Thirty (30) participants from the Learning Sites for Agriculture, Rural Improvement Clubs, Rural-based Organizations, and the youth in agriculture paved the way for the activity's success.
This training aims to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills in slow food, and food preparation and processing utilizing locally sourced ingredients.
In support of the Department of Agriculture as one of the lead agencies implementing the FFM and to promote various industries, farmers, and agriculture communities, ATI Region conducted this Training on Food Processing, highlighting coconut meat as a diverse ingredient, to achieve the objectives of the FFM, specifically on appreciating, conserving, and protecting ingredients, culinary traditions, and culture.
The FFM Cook-off served as the highlight of the training, supporting the Filipino Food Month objective to “Establish Filipino culinary traditions as an Art Form and ensure transmission to future generations.”
