ATI National Director Remelyn R. BANGA, Aklan – An input session with the National Director, Dir. Remelyn R. Recoter, on the development of two transformative initiatives: the Internship Program on Smart Agriculture for Young Farmers and the Research for Development and Extension (R4DE) Agenda under the Agriculture and Fisheries Regional Research and Extension for Development Network (AFRREDN) in Western Visayas.

During the session, Dir. Recoter shared her valuable insights on these significant undertakings, underscoring their importance in shaping the future of the region's agriculture. She highlighted the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture's vision for a "White Revolution," emphasizing the need to engage the youth in smart farming practices and drawing inspiration from Korea's successful model, Dir. Recoter stressed the importance of empowering young farmers with innovative technologies and advanced methodologies to transform traditional agriculture.

Furthermore, she emphasized the critical need to foster collaboration between local industries, private sectors, and academic institutions.
