Capt. Bong shares his secrets on taking care wide range of agricultural products.

He used to drive an airplane and brought people to their dream destinations, today he opts to drive the source of people’s lives to their stomachs. He is Capt. James “Bong” Reamon.

Hails as the first Farm Tourism Site accredited by the Department of Tourism in Region 12 is Felicidad Orchard and Garden Organics Farm. It is located at Conel-Olympog Road, Purok 9B, Brgy. Katangawan, General Santos City, South Cotabato, and identified as a School for Practical Agriculture of ATI in the said region.

On the said farm, one can find a diversified range of agricultural production. You name it and he has it – from herbs, ornamental plants, and rice to livestock production such as pigs, chickens, and ducks. What makes him even more outstanding is the fact that everything is being taken care of organically through his vermicomposting. He further believes that what you are is what you eat hence, Capt. Bong, as he is fondly called, assures that his farm visitors will taste the farm-to-table experience.

Aside from these, your attention will also be grabbed by one of his award-winning inventions called the Gizelle Windmill, which serves as a water pump for his produce. His other inventions include Rex Compost Tea Brewer, Rex Multi-task Vehicle, Jimbo Ventilation System, Aerodynamic Telescopic Sail, and Jimbo Vent.

Truly, a man like Capt. Bong proves that even how high you have reached, you will go back to where you started but enjoy and love it!
