BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo – “We [coconut farmers] are thankful for this opportunity to share and voice our needs and situation. Through this activity, we learned a lot from one another and are assured that activities and training will benefit us," Nita Payba, one of the participants, expressed during the closing program of the Consultation and Planning Workshop cum Training Needs Identification for Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) Implementers and Stakeholders that runs from August 23-25, 2023, at INA Farmers Learning Site and Agri-Farm, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
Participated by CFIDP implementing agencies and active coconut cooperatives/associations identified by the Philippine Coconut Authority, the activity aims to provide an avenue for presenting and assessing 2023 accomplishments of CFIDP training, identify, realign, and harmonize FY 2024 capability-building activities for coconut farmers and their families.
Jonh Flor Emmanuel F. Salmorin, ATI Region 6's Technical Staff, presented accomplishments, addressed issues and concerns, and highlighted good practices during the institution's CFIDP implementation.
