ATI REGION 6 PROMPT SUCCESS STORY WRITING WORKSHOP IN SUPPORT OF RCEF LEARNING SITES

BANGA, Aklan – Fifteen inspiring and uplifting stories are about to share with the world as ATI Region 6 opens its door to 32 participants composed of Learning Site Cooperators, Trainers, Facilitators, and Farmers through training on Success Story Writing Workshop in Support of RCEF Learning Sites on September 23-25, 2024 at ATI Region 6’s Training Hall.

“You need to write your own stories of success and resiliency. For the past years of enduring the difficult road toward success, it is time for you to share your stories of inspiration, and your stories need to be shared with other farmers for them to know the formula of success. Thank you so much for your continued support of the RCEF Program,” Rodel R. Leyson, Project Officer, encouraged during the Opening Program.

Journalism enthusiast Jonell A. Gregorio, Instructor III, and photography expert Cedreyk B. Iguiron, Instructor, both from Aklan State University, who served as the Resource Person and panelists for the activity, is critiquing all the success stories.

This three-day workshop comprised fundamental discussions on Feature and Success Story Writing: A Review, Standards for Write-ups, and the Standards for Photos, Data Collection and Photo Documentation, and Success Story Writing.

Journalism enthusiast Jonell A. Gregorio, Instructor III, and photography expert Cedreyk B. Iguiron, Instructor, both from Aklan State University, served as the Resource Person and panelists for the activity.

 

Josephine G. Riomalos of Capul-an Farm is beyond grateful for the opportunity to be part of the success story writing workshop as she conquered her fear of writing.

“Writing is my worst talent even though I am a teacher, but I told myself why not try it. On the first day, I kept praying that I could actively participate in all the topics. And I did. The resource speakers, especially Sir Jonell and Sir Cedreyk, are very knowledgeable. They are knowledgeable, help me, and encourage us participants to develop our own stories. For myself, naituwid ko na talaga ang journalism [I overcome journalism]. I conquer my fear na hindi ko kaya magsulat [I conquer my fear in writing],” professed Josephine G. Riomalos of Capul-an Farm.

This three-day training aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Farm Schools/ Learning Sites for Agriculture Operators, trainers, facilitators, and farmers on success story documentation and writing, documenting farmers’ experiences and success stories.
