Ms. Liela A. Rosbero, Agriculturist II from LGU Passi City, Iloilo, who topped this batch in the microteaching session, presents her chosen topic.
BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo – To reflect the relentless goal of fostering a love of speaking and literacy, ATI Region 6 produced a new set of resource speakers composed of eighteen (18) Agricultural Extension Workers and two others on October 14-18, 2024 at INA Farmers Learning Site & Agri-Farm Inc.
“Thank you, everyone, for accepting the challenge. We must capacitate and produce new resource persons to help our farmers and fisherfolks. This training will be your stepping stone in reaching the Master Trainer title,” said Emily M. Revesencio, Project Officer, during the Opening Program.
The participants are doing the ORID activity as part of their cliniquing session.
This five-day workshop comprised fundamental discussions on Understanding Training in Agricultural Extension, The Resource Person: Trainers’ Tasks and Responsibilities, Adult Learning Principles, Learning Evaluation Levels, Responsible Adult Communication, Instructional Materials Development, Workshop, Presentation Skills, and Presentation Exercise.
Training enthusiast Emily M. Revesencio, Training Specialist II, and presentation expert Liezel Margie Lou S. Bastian-Ocheda, Media Production Specialist II, both from AT Region 6, served as the Resource Person for the training.
One of the highlights of this training is lighting up the torch of knowledge gained through micro-teaching and community immersion. Liela A. Rosbero of LGU Passi City, Iloilo, topped this batch of microteaching with a 97.5% rating.
The participants post about the training they accomplished during their workshop activity.
“Allowing attending the training is a blessing because I have learned a lot. I am very grateful to meet other people from the extension service. Another learning, another experience. This training developed my self-confidence and ability to work under pressure. Imagine being a member of TMT for just a day, which includes preparation of PPT, pre-test, staffing, evaluations, and critiquing of presentations. What a day! But it’s all worth it,” professed Ms. Rosbero.
This five-day training aims to enhance the participants’ communication and presentation skills to navigate the training world and serve as influential resource persons in their respective fields of expertise.
Proud and mighty set of resource speakers harvest their toil with Ms. Emily M. Revesencio, Training Specialist II/Project Officer, Mr. Rodel R. Leyson, Training Specialist II, and Mr. Edmar Z. Zamora, Technical Support Staff IV, all from ATI Region 6.
