SEARCH FOR THE FILIPINO YOUNG FARMERS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN TAIWAN (FYFIPT) BATCH 2023

The Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) is the implementor of the International Exchange Programs for the Youth in Agriculture for deserving young Filipino farmers in partnership with foreign government countries and territories.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Young Filipino farmer preferably a member of 4-H Club in the Philippines who is an out-of-school youth (OSY), specifically, not attending school for at least one year prior to application;
  2. High school graduate or senior high school level, undergraduate, if college level, and/or technical or vocational graduate;
  3. Male or female, between 20 to 35 years old, single, and has no live-in partner or child at the time of application. Age requirement may vary depending on the partner country;
  4. Can be a son or daughter of a farmer or fisher, or a cooperator of the ATI-certified LSA, or Farm School;
  5. Has existing agricultural land, regardless of size and status of ownership;
  6. Not employed in any job for at least one year at the time of application, certified by the Local Government Unit (LGU);
  7. Not related to any ATI employee by affinity or consanguinity, for up to 3rd degree;
  8. Must have at least one (1) year of accumulated farming experience at the time of application;
  9. Have no overdue obligations from the DA or ATI at the time of application;
  10. Not a recipient of ATl's other IEPs, and has no previous overseas travel related to the Internship;
  11. Has good community standing and/or good moral character certified by LGU;
  12. Has good communication skills and good English proficiency;
  13. Willing to learn new technologies and foreign language;
  14. Passed the following medical examination, to be done in diagnostic clinics, hospitals, or laboratories accredited by the Department of Health (DOH): a) dental examination, b) chest x-ray for tuberculosis, c) stool examination for parasites, d) serological test for syphilis, e) proof of positive measles and rubella antibody, f) examination for Hansen's disease, g) skin examination for Hepatitis B and HIV or AIDS, h) ECG exam, and i) drug and neuro-psychological tests;
  15. Must be fully vaccinated (with 3 doses) against COVID-19 at the time of application, including booster shots; and
  16. If applicable, a certificate from the doctor of no tattoos and/or piercing in any part of the body, ear piercing is allowed for females only.

 

Documentary Qualifications:

  1. Personal Information Sheet (Form No. 1);
  2. Personal History (Form No. 2);
  3. Farming Experience Certificate issued by the Barangay Chairman and Municipal Agriculturist or Agricultural Technologist (Form No, 3);
  4. Certification as a bonafide resident, with good community standing in the area from the Barangay Chairman (Form No. 4);
  5. Certificate of No Overdue Obligations from ATI (Form No. 5);
  6. Certificate on Basic English Knowledge issued by the Agricultural Technologist or Municipal Coordinator (Form No. 6);
  7. Certificate of Commitment to Learn Foreign Language and New Farming Technologies (Form No. 7);
  8. Letter of Recommendation from the Center Director of ATI-RTC, including the result of selection and field validation (Form No. 8);
  9. Selection Committees Endorsement Letters signed by the majority, if not all, of the members of the MSC, PSC, and RSC (Form No. 9).
  10. Training certificates  on agriculture  and  non-agriculture courses certified true copy, if applicable;
  11. Certification from the last school attended on the educational level attained;
  12. Narrative report from the ATI-RTCs on the selection and field validation conducted;
  13. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance with 1-year validity;
  14. Authenticated PSA Birth Certificate and Certificate of Live Birth from the Local Civil Registrar Office;
  15. Tax Identification Number (TIN) ID;
  16. Philippine Passport valid for at least five (5) years at the time of application; and
  17. Digital Vaccination Certificates through VaxcertPH.

Dates to Remember:

  • Deadline of application: March 17, 2023, 4:59 PM.
  • Simultaneous written examination: March 23, 2023, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
  • Field validation: March 27 to 29, 2023
