SEARCH FOR THE YOUNG FILIPINO FARM LEADERS TRAINING PROGRAM IN JAPAN (YFFLTPJ) BATCH 2023
The YFFLTPJ is a partnership between the Department of Agriculture, and Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC). It aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers to become farmer leaders and empowered agricultural entrepreneurs. We are looking for two delegates from Region 6 to join the said activity.
The simultaneously written examination is scheduled on November 29, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm while field validation will be conducted on December 1 to 2, 2022. The complete list of qualified interns and their documentary requirements will be submitted to ATI-Central Office on or before December 8, 2022.
Basic Qualifications:
- Young Filipino farmers, a member of 4-H Club in the Philippines who is an out-of-schoo1 youth (OSY) (not attending school for at least one year prior to application);
- High school graduate (senior high school level), undergraduate, or college level, and technical or vocational graduate;
- Male or female, between 20 to 30 years old, single, and has no live-in partner or child at the time of application;
- Can be a son or daughter of a farmer or fisher, or a cooperator of the ATI-certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), or Farm School;
- Has existing agricultural land, regardless of size and status of ownership;
- Not employed in any job for at least one year at the time of application, certified by the LGU,
- Not related to any ATI employee by affinity or consanguinity, for up to 3rd degree;
- Must have at least one (1) year of accumulated farming experience at the time of application;
- Have no overdue obligations from the ATI at the time e of application;
- Not a recipient of ATI’s Internship program, and has no previous overseas travel related to an internship;
- Has good community standing or moral character;
- Has good communication skills and English proficiency;
- Willing to learn new technologies and the Nihongo language;
- Passed the following medical examination, to be done in diagnostic clinics, hospitals, or laboratories accredited by the Department of Health (D0 H): a) dental examination, b) chest x-ray for tuberculosis, c) stool examination for parasites, d) serological test for syphilis, e) proof of positive measles and rubella antibody, f) examination for Hansen's disease, g) skin examination for Hepatitis B and HIV or AIDS, h) ECG exam and i) drug and neuro-psychological tests,
- Proof of having no tattoos and/or piercing in any part of the body (except for ear piercing for females only); and
- Must be vaccinated with 3 doses of any of the following vaccines against COVID-19 at the time of application: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Sinopharm, and Sinovac.
Documentary Requirements:
- Personal Information Sheet (Form No. 1);
- Personal History (Form No. 2);
- Farming Experience Certificate issued by the Barangay Chairman and Municipal Agriculturist or Agricultural Technologist (Form No. 3);
- Certification showing bonafide residency, with good community standing in the area from the Barangay Chairman (Form No. 4);
- Certificate of No Overdue Obligations from ATI (Form No. 5);
- Certificate on Basic English Knowledge issued by the Agricultural Technologist or Municipal Coordinator (Form No. 6);
- Certificate of Commitment to Learn Nihongo and New Farming Technologies (Form No. 7);
- Letter of Recommendation from the Center Director of ATI-RTC, including the result of selection on and field validation (Form No. 8);
- Training certificates on agriculture and non-agriculture (certified true copy, if applicable); ’
- Certification from the last school attended on the latest educational 1 level attained;
- National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance with 1-year validity;
- Authenticated PSA Birth Certificate and Certificate of Live Birth from the Local Civil Registrar's Office;
- Tax Identification Number (TIN) lD;
- Philippine Passport valid for at least five (5) years at the time of application; and
- Digital Vaccination Certificates through VaxcertPH.
