The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center VII will conduct a selection process for the Young Filipino Farmer Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) Batch 2026.
The YFFLTPJ is a partnership between the Department of Agriculture and the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC). It aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers into farmer leaders and empowered agricultural entrepreneurs through an 11-month internship in Japan.
The recruitment process schedule is as follows:
- August 26, 2025—Deadline of Application;
- September 2, 2025—Simultaneous Provincial examinations; and
- September 3-30, 2025—Field validation.
Basic Qualifications
- Young Filipino farmers preferably but not necessary a member of 4-H Club in the Philippines, out-of-school youth (OSY), recipients of DA-AMAS Young Farmers Challenge Program;
- Out-of-school with at least a High School Diploma (Old Curiculum) or Senior High School Diploma (K-12), or a College Graduate, preferably but not necessarily graduate of any agriculture-related courses or a technical or vocational graduate;
- Single male or female, between 20-30 years old Young Filipino Farmer Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) and 20-35 years old Filipino Young Farmer Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) has no live-in partner nor pregnant (for female interns) or with a child at the time of application and departure;
- OSY and college graduates must have at least two (2) years of accumulated practical or hands-on farming experience (after high school/college graduation) at the time of application;
- Has existing agricultural land, regardless of size and status of ownership;
- Has good community standing or moral character certified by the Barangay Captain;
- Has good communication skills and good English proficiency certified by the LGU;
- Not related to any ATI employee by affinity or consanguinity, for up to 3rd degree certified by the RTC;
- Have no overdue obligations from the ATI at the time of application;
- Not a recipient of ATI's overseas travel related to an internship;
- Willing to learn new technologies and foreign languages certified by the RTC;
- A certificate from the doctor of no tattoos and/or piercing in any part of the body, ear piercing is allowed for females; and
- Passed the following medical examination, to be done in diagnostic clinics, hospitals, or laboratories accredited by the Department of Health (DOH), with all Laboratory Results and Medical Certificates indicating “Fit to Work” remarks.
- Regional Medical Examination;
- a. Chest x-ray for tuberculosis;
- b. Stool examination for parasites;
- c. Serological test for syphilis; and
- d. Drug Test
- National Medical Examination;
- Pregnancy test;
- oral/dental test;
- Eye Examination;
- ECG test;
- neuro-psychological tests and
- certification of no history of any mental illnesses certified by the medical expert

- Personal Information Sheet (Form 1);
- Barangay Certification (Form 2);
- Certificate of Farming Experience and Basic English Knowledge (Form 3);
- Municipal/City Endorsement Letter signed by the Municipal or City Agriculturist (Form 4);
- Provincial Selection Committee's Endorsement (Form 5);
- Certificate of Commitment to Learn Foreign Language and New Farming Technologies (Form 7);
- Certified true copy of Training Certificates on agriculture and non-agriculture courses;
- Transcript of Record (TOR) or Certification from the last school attended;
- Original National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Police Clearance with 1-year validity;
- Original PSA birth certificate and Certificate of live birth from the Local Civil Registrar Office;
- Tax Identification Number (TIN) or ID; and
- Original Philippine Passport valid for at least (3) years at the time of application.
