The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Visayas (ATI-Central Visayas) is celebrating ATI's 38th founding anniversary through a series of meaningful activities, led by Center Director Dr. Gracia F. Arado. This milestone highlights ATI's continued commitment to agricultural innovation, community partnerships, and youth empowerment.
The celebrations kicked off on February 13, 2025, with a mass of gratitude held for the health and well-being of ATI-7 personnel and in memory of those who have passed. The mass served as a moment of reflection for ATI’s dedicated members, honoring their contributions to the institution over the years. A blessing ceremony for the ATI offices and buildings followed, symbolizing a prayer for continued growth, success, and positive impact in the years ahead.
A highlight of the first day of the anniversary celebration was the planting of 100 coconut trees in Loon, Bohol. This event was made possible by the collaborative efforts of the Loon Small Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA-Bohol), Gazebo de LOONdon, ATI-7's Learning Site for Agriculture, and the Local Government Unit of Loon, Bohol. Representing the local government were officials from the office of the Local Chief Executive and the Municipal Agriculturist Office.
Adding to the significance of this event were the immersion students from Sandingan National High School and St. Theresa Academy of Loon, who joined the planting activity. The youth’s involvement underscores this year’s anniversary theme: “Youth in Agriculture: Cultivating Innovations through Partnerships.”
This theme highlights ATI's ongoing efforts to empower the younger generation of farmers, innovators, and agricultural enthusiasts while promoting sustainable farming practices. By encouraging partnerships among stakeholders from various sectors, ATI continues to strengthen the agricultural industry and provide opportunities for growth in the sector.
