Eight (8) applicants for the 6th batch of the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) were qualified after passing the pre-qualifying examination on February 10-13, 2025 in Northern Samar. ATI-RTC 8, led by FYFIPT Internship Point Person Vanissa Asis, conducted a field validation to assess whether the participants are actively involved in the development of their farms. The validation also aimed to verify their eligibility based on civil status and their relationships within the community.

Northern Samareños Jinky Echenique, Lovely Rose Stephany Morillo, Rogem Esteller, Kim Mengote, Alberto Aguinaldo, Mark Cliff Castillo, and Kim Alvin Dente, are among the fifty (50) young Filipino farmers from the different regions of the country who qualified for the 11-month training. Prior to their departure to Taiwan, they will undergo a series of training and orientations to prepare them for the internship.

First of which is the conduct of their Mandarin Online Class facilitated by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO) on March 10 to April 8, 2025.

FYFIPT is a partnership between the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) and the TECO. The program aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers into empowered farmer leaders and agricultural entrepreneurs.
