In celebration of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VIII’s (ATI-RTC 8) 39th Founding Anniversary, the Institute honored the dedication and commitment of its staff through a series of meaningful activities that highlighted both service and camaraderie. Anchored on the theme “Loyalty in Action: Driving Agricultural Excellence through Service and Accountability,” the anniversary celebration underscored the vital role of committed public servants in advancing Philippine agriculture.
The recognition of long-serving personnel took place in two stages, beginning on January 29, 2026 at the ATI Central Office in Quezon City, when nine outstanding ATI-RTC 8 employees were formally acknowledged for their years of service. Leading the honorees was Center Director Hazel Grace T. Taganas, who marked an impressive 35 years of service. Eight other staff members were recognized for reaching the 10-year milestone, including Concepcion B. Miro, Melinda P. Petalcorin, Gizell Jill D. Nuñez, Venus June J. Taghoy, Emie O. Uy, Allen P. Goroy, Vanissa L. Asis, and Jonalyn G. Saulan. The plaques of recognition were presented by ATI Director Remelyn R. Recoter and Deputy Director Antonieta J. Arceo, marking a heartfelt moment of gratitude and appreciation for the awardees’ steadfast loyalty and contribution to the agriculture sector.
The celebration continued on February 5, 2026, during the second part of ATI-RTC 8’s anniversary program, where the focus remained on honoring the staff who have shaped the institution through years of dedicated service. Each awardee was presented with a customized sash, featuring carefully chosen words that captured their identity as workmates and the lasting impact they have made on the ATI family. Amid applause and warm recognition from colleagues, the ceremony became a moment of pride, reflection, and inspiration. Included during the activity were Job Order staff who were recognized not only for their tenure but also for the commitment, passion, and heart they have poured into their work: Mr. Eleno Bagarinao, for 13 years in service, and Mr. Joshua Sinoc, for 12 years in service.
Adding a lighter and interactive touch to the celebration, ATI-RTC 8 staff participated in ATIng Laro at Saya for Staff, a series of games that combined teamwork, fun, and institutional knowledge. Employees enjoyed challenges that tested their understanding of the organization’s history, contributions, and key personnel, further strengthening bonds among colleagues while celebrating 39 years of agricultural service and excellence.
Through these commemorative activities, ATI-RTC 8 not only highlighted individual loyalty and achievement but also reinforced a culture of gratitude, collaboration, and purpose—reminding all staff that their dedication continues to drive agricultural development and institutional success.
