Excel Day 2025 Kicks Off Focusing on Hosting Excellence

BAYBAY CITY, Leyte – The first day of the Excel Day 2025, dubbed “Hosting Excellence from Stage to Service,” was held on December 11, 2025, highlighting the importance of effective communication and facilitation in public service. ATI staff jumpstarted the celebration through a Power Up Activity focused on developing basic emceeing skills, equipping participants with practical tools to confidently take the stage.

Guided by Ms. Frances Ann Santos’ lecture on Mastering the Mic, a session on basic emceeing skills, participants gained valuable insights into the fundamentals of hosting from voice projection and audience engagement to maintaining program flow. The session empowered ATI employees to enhance their hosting abilities, recognizing that as public servants and facilitators of knowledge, they are often called upon to serve as hosts, moderators, or emcees in trainings, seminars, and community activities. More than holding a microphone, hosting was emphasized as an art that reflects professionalism, confidence, and ATI’s commitment to excellence.

In the afternoon, the learning continued with an orientation on the LandScale Framework led by Ms. Christine Candare of GIZ. The session introduced staff to the framework as a tool for assessing and improving the sustainability of agricultural and natural landscapes. Participants also explored practical ways to integrate LandScale concepts into trainings and Center-led activities, further strengthening ATI’s role in promoting sustainable and impactful agricultural development.
