The long wait is over, finally the two (2) young farmers from Zamboanga Peninsula successfully completed the Pre-departure Orientation Course for the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ). A total of 23 young farmers coming from different regions nationwide were bound to Japan for the 11-month Internship Program for the batch 2023.

The send-off ceremenony was also the culmination program of the Pre-departure Orientation Course (PDOC) and Introduction to Japanese Language Program held from March 6, 2023 - April 11, 2023 at Agricultural Training Institute Compound, Diliman, Quezon City.

ATI Director Remelyn R. Recoter graced the said activity and rendered the opening message. Also present in the activity was the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) representative, Senior Technical Guidance Staff Mr. Wilfredo De Chavez, who rendered their message of support. The program was formally closed by the closing message of ATI Deputy Director Antonieta J. Arceo.

ATI 9 is proud of the two (2) trainees Mr. Jeremy Calotes from Zamboanga City and Jephone Saquian from Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur for successfully completing the series of trainings and passing the series of examinations for the said program. Aside from the certificates of completion, one of the trainees, Mr. Saquian, was awarded with a certificate of recognition being the Top 4 in the Nihongo Language Class.

The send-off ceremony was successfully conducted last April 11, 2023 at RDEC Function Hall, Agricultural Training Institute Compound, Diliman, Quezon City. The activity was attended by ATI Directors, ATI Center Directors, ATI RBO Point Persons, LGU RBO Coordinators, Parents, Language Instructors, and representatives from JAEC.
