ATI in Zamboanga Peninsula has officially launched five (5) Farmers' Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosks in barangays Camanga, Curvada, Tabuan, Luy-a, and Laperian in the municipality of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, on July 3–4, 2023.

OIC-Center Director Gerry R. Pagarigan, together with the Information Services Section Chief Belly Joy A. Villazorda, Techno-Gabay Program (TGP) Focal Jeanny R. Nabasca, Tukuran FITS Center Manager Azucena R. Calunsag, Barangay Captains, and President of the Farmer Associations, led the ribbon-cutting of the FITS Kiosks Launching.

Through its FITS Centers and Kiosks, the Techno-Gabay Program aims to empower farmers with the technology and knowledge of modern agriculture.

The FITS Kiosks are strategically located in the five barangays in Tukuran, ensuring the farmers' easy access to science- and technology-based information in agriculture. The availability of such information in their community will help farmers mitigate risks and optimize their agricultural operations.

Moreover, FITS Kiosks also offer Farmer's Contact Center calling cards for advisory services by agricultural experts, allowing farmers to seek guidance on various aspects of farming, including crop selection, soil health management, post-harvest techniques, and among others.

The FITS Kiosks will help bridge the information gap between farmers and modern agricultural practices.#
