The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) – Regional Office 9 conducted an Implementing Agency Meeting for Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund (CFITF) at the PCA Convention Hall, Regional Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City last June 15, 2022. The said meeting was spearheaded by the newly appointed PCA- RO9 Regional Manager, Mr. Ferdinand D. Acaylar.

The said activity was attended by different partner agencies who will hand in hand in the implementation of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP). Present during the meeting were the representatives from DA- High-Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP); DA-Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI); Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH); National Dairy Authority (NDA); Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech); Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC); Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP)/Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council on Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST – PCAARRD); Commission on Higher Education (CHED)/ Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Cooperative Development Authority (CDA); Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth); and Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC). Each implementing agency presented its programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) in accordance with the approved CFIDP.

After each presentation, everyone was given a chance to raise their concerns and questions which enabled them to discuss and synergize the targets, strategies, and budget allotted per agency.

Mr. Danilo B. Bendanillo, Acting Planning Development Officer IV of PCA-RO 9, delivered the closing message where he expressed his gratitude to the implementing agencies who were dedicated to the implementation of CFIDP for the coconut farmers and their families.

The meeting was set to be a stepping stone for a harmonious implementation of the program.
