Document custodians and their alternates from various sections of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center IX (ATI-RTC IX) recently participated in a re-orientation session aimed at reinforcing their understanding of their critical roles and responsibilities in maintaining quality management system (QMS) standards last March 3, 2025, ati ATI 9 Bldg., Balintawak, Pagadian City.

This timely initiative served as a refresher to strengthen their grasp on proper documentation protocols, control of documented information, and standardized filing procedures. More than just a compliance measure, the re-orientation was designed to help custodians carry out their duties efficiently, ensuring that documents remain organized, up-to-date, traceable, and readily accessible.

Anchored on the principles of ISO 9001:2015, the session emphasized the value of maintaining the integrity, consistency, and reliability of records across all sections. ISO 9001:2015 places significant importance on documented information as a foundation of an effective quality management system. It ensures that relevant information is appropriately controlled and available where needed, which is essential for decision-making, traceability, and continual improvement.

The activity also underscored the importance of a collaborative approach between designated custodians and their alternates. This ensures continuity of responsibilities, especially during staff absences or transitions, thereby minimizing the risk of delays, miscommunication, or data loss. Such collaboration promotes a resilient and responsive documentation process aligned with ATI-RTC IX’s commitment to excellence and service delivery.
