In an effort to provide actual exposure to the AEWs of the region for better learning, ATI-RTC-CAR conducted an Experiential Learning for the Training Program Graduates of the Enhancing Extension Delivery among the ATI-RTC-3 LSAs from May 20-22, 2025.
Through this activity, the AEWs had the opportunity to interact with successful agri-preneurs during a farm visit to the Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) and Private Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Service Providers (PAF-ESPs), which allows them to exchange knowledge and build networks that can support innovation in their localities.
On the first day, the participants visited Mang Dannyโs Organic and Natural Farm in Paombong, Bulacan, which specializes in fish and livestock technologies. Mr. Alain Buclongan, one of the participants from Tabuk City was inspired by how Mang Danny turned challenges into opportunities - from flood-prone rice fields turned to a premier agritourism site in Bulacan.
Following the farm tour, the participants explored Hacienda Angelita Nature Farm Training and Assessment Center Inc. in San Rafael, Bulacan, a certified PAF-ESP of ATI-Central Luzon. It offers a comprehensive agricultural learning center with advanced facilities and expert trainers who provide engaging training programs for farming enthusiasts. Amazed by their practices, the participants realized how promising Agri-tourism is, especially in todayโs living conditions.
The first day concluded with a visit to Aven Natureโs Farm in Bacolor, Pampanga, which focuses on the production and processing of rabbits. Participants shared that rabbitry is still a rising industry in the country; however, equipping oneself with the right marketing and production skills can sustain a productive agritourism farm.
On the second day, the activity kicks off with a visit to R.O. Valerio Dairy Farm in San Fernando, Pampanga, which is known for the productive raising and breeding of goats for milk production. The activity concluded at St. Isidore โthe FARMerโ Learning Center Inc. in Sta. Ana, Pampanga, a certified PAF-ESP, known for its diversified farming practices.
Further, Dr. Joey Belarmino, Training Center Director of ATI-RTC-Central Luzon graced the closing program of the activity and expressed his gratitude for choosing to visit the region for the learning activity and hopeful that they can also replicate the practices they have observed in their own localities.ย
The activity was attended by 31 AEWs from all the provinces of the region. | Ezra James Felix, Technical Support Staff, CDMS
