The SIRP or Swine Industry Recovery Project is an initiative of the Department of Agriculture (DA) aimed at assisting pig farms in recovering from the impact of African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreaks. The project focuses on five major components, which are enhancing biosecurity, modernizing farm infrastructure, improving genetic quality, expanding market access, and eventually rebuilding the swine industry from the impact of African Swine Fever.
