“Great and wonderful, this is my impression about this training. It’s worth it. I would like to thank our resource person, Mr. Edmund Benavidez who had been so very energetic from the start to the end. Thank you, Sir Ed because you are a rare speaker who always highlights the word of God. Second, to our facilitators, Ma’am Beth and Ma’am Tiffanie, who were behind this training and who were really working and supporting each other – the outcome was great. I am thankful that I was able to attend this training. Coming here is not a waste of time because the training was great and we will go home victoriously. I learned a lot and I am also thankful for my co-participants because I learned a lot from them also. The facilities were also very conducive to learning. However, the food was against my will, because I’m into organic food, and hope that organic foods will be served next time because it is also good for our health. Lastly, I hope that this training will also be shared with others as this is a precious gem” declared Ms. Nieves D. Honnag, Farmer from Ifugao during the training on Entrepreneurial Development Program for RBOs, 4Hs and Farm Families of CAR conducted last March 29-31, 2023 at ATI-RTC-CAR, BSU Compd., La Trinidad, Benguet.

Mr. Edmund D. Benavidez, the sole resource person of the training exposed the participants to the world of entrepreneurs using the (Competency-based Economies through the Formation of Entrepreneurs (CEFE) approach. Entrepreneurs learn best by doing and when they are actively and creatively involved in the activity. With this approach, the resource person employed business games and exercises simulating the different fields of the business environment and entrepreneurial functions through role plays, and group dynamics with minimal lectures.

The course was designed to enhance the entrepreneurial competencies and skills of the RBO, 4Hr’s, and Farm Family members in the development and improvement of their agri-business utilizing available local resources, recyclable containers, practice waste management and to demonstrate agricultural technologies with an innovative approach.

The training was the first batch attended by 32 participants coming from the different provinces of the Cordillera. The second batch will be conducted on May 16-19, 2023 at the same venue.
