MAJAYJAY, LAGUNA — The Costales Agricultural and Skills Development Institute, Inc. (CASDII), one of the accredited extension service providers of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), successfully passed the recent performance audit with “Very Satisfactory” rating conducted by the Private Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Service Provider (PAF-ESP) National Advisory Council.

The two-day evaluation, held from June 10 to 11, 2026, serves as a mandatory requirement for accredited providers of the Institute. Through this process, the accredited extension service providers must undergo a program assessment every two years to maintain grant extensions, verify compliance with operational policies, and ensure that training facilities and programs continue to meet high national standards.

CASDII Chairperson Josephine Costales and President Reden Mark F. Costales welcomed the evaluation team and served as primary respondents during the performance audit.

Throughout the process, the National Advisory Council reviewed the legal and technical documents, particularly focusing on previous ATI-funded training sessions. To measure its effectiveness, the Council also interviewed the past training beneficiaries assessing the adoption of their learnings as well as improvements in local farming practices. Likewise, the evaluation team conducted an ocular inspection of CASDII's training and demonstration facilities.

Furthermore, after synthesizing the data gathered from document reviews, beneficiaries’ responses, and the facility inspection, the Council formally awarded CASDII a "Very Satisfactory" rating.

The successful performance audit emphasized a shared vision between the ATI and CASDII, a commitment to upholding the highest standards of excellence, transparency, and accountability in the delivery of agricultural extension services thereby empowering the stakeholders in the farming and fishing communities.
