MAKATI CITY โ The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) formalized a new partnership with East-West Seed Company, Inc. โ Knowledge Transfer through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Networking Reception hosted by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines on February 9, 2026, at Dasmariรฑas Village, Makati City.
The event took place during the official visit of the Netherlandsโ Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, H.E. Aukje de Vries, and was attended by Netherlands Ambassador to the Philippines Marielle Geraedts, along with Dutch business leaders, government officials, and key industry partners. The gathering aimed to strengthen cooperation between the Netherlands and the Philippines in trade, innovation, and sustainable development.
One of the highlights of the reception was the series of MOU signings, including the strategic agreement between ATI and East-West Seed Company, Inc. โ Knowledge Transfer. The MOU was signed by ATI Director Engr. Remelyn R. Recoter, MNSA, CESO III, and Ms. Rachel P. Lomibao, General Manager of East-West Seed Company, Inc. โ Knowledge Transfer, signifying both institutionsโ commitment to collaborative initiatives in agricultural training, seed technology dissemination, and capacity building for farmers nationwide.
The partnership brings together ATIโs extensive agricultural extension and training network and East-West Seedโs expertise in high-quality vegetable seed development to enhance productivity through sustainable farming practices and improve access to modern technologies and markets.
Building on previous engagements, the alliance is expected to deliver innovative training approaches and technology transfer initiatives that contribute to food security, farm competitiveness, and inclusive growth in Philippine agriculture.
